RECLAMATION

After Civil War tears America into three separate territories, Case Tappan, a devout pacifist, discovers his vision of a perfect society is under threat from the President of the United States and his deadly Reclamation movement.

Unfortunately, Case’s attempts at peaceful negotiation lands him in a prison destined to be decimated by US bombs. He is dependent on a young and beautiful, yet conflicted US Army Private, Renna Jensen, to secure his freedom and ultimately the legacy of his movement.

The survival of Case and his precious territory, hinges on his faith, his destiny, and his ability to show a world bent on corruption and greed, that a better future is already here.

Reviews of Reclamation

Once in a while a novel arrives at the perfect moment of time. Reclamation is that book. Driven with political charge, the story is set in the United States following a second civil war, when Case Tappan attempts to establish governance free of inequity and overpowering greed in an expansive western, brimming with despair and yearning, in this culturally relevant debut. Full of corruption, hope and appreciable love stories, the reader is grateful for this journey through the Colorado landscape, in a story wrought with unforgettable plot-lines, and made even more interesting by a cast of strong female characters, who accompany Case to the end. Jon Christian is a writer with enormous intellect, vision and flawless craft for literary landscape.

–Melissa Falcon Field is the author of What Burns Away (Sourcebooks 2015) and Flights Patterns (Random House, TBD)

_____________________

“A dark but hopeful vision of the future, thrilling and thought-provoking in equal measure.”

– Charles Kowalski, author of MIND VIRUS and THE DEVIL’S SON

From Libertarian Book Reviews: This is a quick and fun read. Christian keeps the plot moving, cutting between events in Colorado, Texas and United States, as the protagonists converge toward the amor vincit omnes ending
