Once in a while a novel arrives at the perfect moment of time. Reclamation is that book. Driven with political charge, the story is set in the United States following a second civil war, when Case Tappan attempts to establish governance free of inequity and overpowering greed in an expansive western, brimming with despair and yearning, in this culturally relevant debut. Full of corruption, hope and appreciable love stories, the reader is grateful for this journey through the Colorado landscape, in a story wrought with unforgettable plot-lines, and made even more interesting by a cast of strong female characters, who accompany Case to the end.
